Hi and welcome to the kids nutrition blog!
Here you can find all the articles and blog posts that I write for you. Go ahead and take a look around.
A fabulous day cooking and baking behind me! Let me know if you want any of the recipes, I will be happy to share. I want your kids to be healthy and happy - eating tasty food that's good for them - so don't hesitate to message me. Bye my lovelies and have a nice rest of the day
Amazing fruits! I loooove fruits. I've been eating apples all day and soon I'm off to the store to buy melons! They are heavy but I can carry two medium sized ones, more than that wouldn't really be possible :) They don't sell many berries here except strawberries, but they do have frozen blackberries and currants. I might pick up a bag of those as well. Take care!

Yes, especially if you make it yourself! Choose organic apples, cut them up into pieces, remove the core and blend them in a food processor or use a NutriBullet. Add some cinnamon if you like. Amazingly healthy for kids! Good as a breakfast food or snack anytime of the day.
This site is all about children's nutrition. It is such an important subject because so many kids are in danger these days because of what they are fed.
A dairy allergy or intolerance might not be discovered until the child has been on milk products for years, the same with other sensitivities. Our babies are born with a lot of sensitivities these days because of how the past generations have been eating and how they have weakened their systems systematically by not keeping to a healthy diet.
Hope you will make great decisions when it comes to what kind of food you buy for your home and what you put on the dinner table. Take care and have an amazing day!
I hope you are giving your kids a lot of love. Create a loving safe space for them at home, so the minute they step into their home they are protected and cared for in the best way possible. I felt like that at my grandmother's house. Both of them actually. I loved spending time with them when I was a child. I used to sleep next to one of them in her large bed and hold her hand and she sang for us. My sister was sleeping on a mattress next to us on the floor. I love that memory. She always got up before us in the mornings and made breakfast for us. I miss both of my grandma's so much.
I just watched a video where a woman spoke about motivating children. It was quite interesting. She was saying that kids have such different personalities that we have to tailor our approach of motivating them (for example to behave well). And if you have many kids, a simple rewards and punishment system just won't work, especially if you want lasting results. I will include the link to the video here – in the ‘read more’ part.
What do you do when your kids are away? I'm alone again for a week and feel like I don't really know what to do with my time. Usually I would cook and cook again and possibly again! But now.. I don't need to. I just sit here. Thinking. I guess it's a good thing once in a while. To get that space, you know. To reflect upon things. To make sure life is going where we want it to go. So even though I feel a little lost in this very exact moment, I do believe it's for the best. Spending some time alone is important once in a blue moon.
As you know I also help adults with healthy eating, so if you are interested you can pop by my other website to check out what I've got there (nutridivas.com). After all, moms deserve the best, to feel the best, to be happy, to feel good about themselves, to have a healthy self-esteem – without that we can't be the best moms we always wanted to be.
I have read that pets are really good for kids, especially dogs that are easy to bond with. Petting them, talking to them and feeding them can release a lot of stress that has been building up after a long day. Older kids can also often more easily show affection and hug pets but can have a harder time hugging the adults in their life. I heard a mother to a teenage boy say that the boy takes such good care of their pet rabbit and hugs the rabbit every day but he avoids any physical contact with his mother. Imagine if that boy wouldn't have his rabbit? I think he would be so much worse off than he is now, mentally. Thank God for the beautiful little pets in our lives.
Having a kids party sometime soon? Why not make it a little less traditional and serve fruit instead of candy? A lot of nicely cut fruit in fun arrangements and how about strawberries? Kids love strawberries. And you could make some yummy healthy desserts too and smoothies for the kids.
You could then make a goody bag for them to take with them home with some toys and for example a clementine and some healthy home-made blueberry muffin or a few cookies?
I have recipes on this site that could help you out, just check out the recipes section.
The sun is out! That means more playtime outside and that in turn means happy little souls :)Getting a lot of fresh air is so important for health, regardless if we are big or small. While your kids are playing at the park, why don't you take a brisk walk around the area they play or sit down and do some deep breathing? Wishing you all the best and hope you have many amazing days out in the sun with your children!
Hi lovelies! How are you? Excited about the upcoming weekend? What are you planning to do with the kids? I used to think that I have to spend money every time I do something with my son, but I have now realozed that there are other things we can do when money is tight. For example amazing nature walks! Or going into town and admiring the architecture of old buildings. Or trying out a new park where we've never been. Or just going to the beach, sitting down in the sun and having a few fruits we have with us. Have fun!
Strawberries are so good! I'm dreaming of a gluten-free and vegan strawberry cake! I bought some wild strawberry seeds and some organic soil and I'm planning on planting them during the weekend. I really hope they start growing soon. I can't wait! :) It's something positive to look forward to.
Before that, Friday morning, I have my last doctor's visit after the miscarriage. I really hope the doc says all is well and all is out (placenta, blood cloths etc). Then I can keep resting and rebuilding my body a bit with soem amazing herbs and good eating habits, and in a few months try to convince again. Wish me luck. Hugs!
There is one kids vitamins and minerals formula I really like and think all parents should get for their kids.
and decided to become more kind in my parenting. And to start creating more positibe memories :) Today we are going on a one hour walk to an inland sea here on the island of Gozo so it is a good day to start.
Now I'm going to tell you something that happened to me just a few weeks ago. It was quite heartbreaking. I had a miscarriage. I lost the baby. I was holding it briefly in my hand. It was still in it's sack and I felt a little hand inside the sack. This is something I have a hard time being at peace with. That I was scared and shocked instead of calmly holding that little one close to me. Instead of not knowing what to do I could have taken a moment to say good bye. But I freaked out and was rushed by the nurses to get out of the bathroom. I told them the baby is down there. They said 'where??' and started searching in the toilet where I had placed it. They didn't search very well and all they could find was blood cloths. Then one nurse brought me back to my bed.
Little one, I love you. And I loved that you lived inside me for the three months that you did. I'm sure you are with me every day... Sometimes sadness comes over me at random times of the day. I am heeling mentally and physically and I feel much better now... but I just wanted to take care of you... I wonder who you would have been. What you would have said and done. How your life would have looked like. What we would have experienced together. You will always be a part of me. Like my grandmas and my sister and my other 12 week baby. All of you are part of me and with me. My grandfathers too. Will always love all of you. Living and dead. I give my love to you all.
How are you and your family? One book I am reading right now is a book I would recommend for most patents, called I Heart Me (or I love Me but there is a heart in between the 'I' and 'me'). It helps us break patterns of low self-confidence that runs in families. You might not even be aware of what your body language is saying, but your kids pick up on it and think that is the norm. Hold your head high, feet shoulder width apart, good posture and hands on the sides and you will instantly feel more confident and of you stand like that for two minutes you will also feel more poweful afterwards than before.
Me and my son left cold Finland alone and moved to Malta! Warm weather and great vegan and healthy food options! I have ordered an organic box of fruits and vegetables that we will receive on Thursday. And there are a lot of health food restaurants around our house. Cool!
Everything is lit up very nicely in town, lots of decorations and people walking around shopping and chatting and generally being in a good mood. Others get stressed - like one of my friends who has two children. She always finds this time of the year more stressful than fun. But not me! I love it! The whole family gets to come together (my brother and sister and parents) and spend some quality time with each other. And lots of gifts are given to everyone. This year I will be making a lot of vegan dishes. For example a huge fruit salad. And let's see what else I can come up with :)

Yeah.. it's frustrating because we only have one key and he comes home first so he is responsible for it. This is the third time in 2 months that he has fotgotten it, and it's getting expensive.. Now I will have to pay 62 euro or about 65 dollars because of this. Yeah, I'm not happy.. but I guess things like this happen.
